Don’t let the size fool you. It might have a population of only 90, but that doesn’t stop Round Top, Texas, from being the place to be several times a year during the antiques show.

Because when it comes to Round Top antiques, over 100,000 treasure seekers from all over the country find the lure completely irresistible. Maybe it’s because for the last 50 years, it’s grown from a humble antiques fair into an epic celebration lasting two weeks and stretching for miles down Highway 237.

Or maybe it’s because this beloved event has a way of bringing together villages, neighbors, family and friends — all united by a love of rare finds and a good hunt.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a seasoned shopper or first-time visitor, only there to browse or ready to fill your home with antiques… when you visit Round Top, you’ll leave with a story to tell.

More Than Just a Shopping Trip

Every corner of the Round Top antiques show feels like a pop-up museum, where you can find a piece of history and take it home with you. Strolling through the tent-lined fields, you’ll see:

  • European antiques and Americana

  • Mid-century modern gems

  • Architectural salvage, art, jewelry, and textiles

  • Quirky vintage, industrial finds, and farmhouse chic

But it’s not just the shopping that makes the experience special. Passionate dealers, local artists — and perhaps even familiar faces if you’re a regular — are also part of the draw, making it feel less like a shopping trip and more like catching up with old friends.

Round Top Antiques Show 2026: Where & When

Shopping for Round Top antiques doesn’t happen all in one place. There’s a whole countryside of separate events, each with its own dealers and schedule.

If you don’t have time to hit them all, here are the three venues we think it’s worth building your trip around:

Big Red Barn & Continental Barn

This iconic venue is open to the public from October 26th through the 31st, with Designer Day offering early access on the 25th (separate ticket required). Expect early American country pieces, fine glass, and turquoise jewelry, all in a comfortably cool space with a food court next door.

Blue Hills

Run by the Layne family, this venue has earned a loyal following from shoppers and interior designers and is open October 17th through the 31st. With its rustic, pole-barn design, free parking and entry, and over 100 vendors across 52 acres, there’s no question why Blue Hills is such a favorite spot to shop.

Marburger Farm

If you’re only picking one spot to visit during the Round Top Antiques Show 2026 season, Marburger is an excellent choice. Open from October 27th through the 31st, 300+ dealers across 43 acres provide plenty of opportunities to find the next gem for your collection.

Beyond these three, countless more independently owned venues line the highway and spill into surrounding towns like Burton, Carmine, and Warrenton. Some charge a small entry fee while others are free, so it’s always a good idea to check the hours and details for each venue before you go.

Tips for Shopping the Round Top Antiques Show

Whether you're dedicating a single day to shopping or planning a full Round Top antiques weekend, a few things will make your trip go smoothly:

Plan Your Route

With venues spread over miles of booths, tents, and barns, it's easy to get turned around. Make a wish list, check the venue dates and times, and have a little fun wandering off the beaten path if you’re feeling adventurous.

Dress for Texas Weather

Fall weather here in Texas can be just as surprising as some of the antique show finds — you never can tell exactly what you’re gonna get. Pack comfy shoes that can withstand hours of wandering through the venues, layers that can be added or removed during cool mornings and warm afternoons, and a hat for extra protection from sun or rain.

Bring Cash

Although many vendors take cards, it’s always handy to have cash for smaller finds, pop-up food stands, parking fees at some of the smaller venues, or spotty cell service and card reader issues.

Book Early

Lodging fills up fast, especially during a Round Top antiques weekend, and there’s nothing better than having a peaceful retreat to come back to at the end of your day. (Hint, hint — see below!)

Beyond the Show: Fall Fun Near Round Top

Round Top might be tiny, but don’t underestimate it because of its size. There’s more to love about this small town than just antiques.

Royers Round Top Café has been feeding hungry visitors for over 35 years, and the pies alone are worth the stop. Henkel Square Market, an outdoor museum village of eleven preserved historic buildings with rose gardens and small shops, makes for a delightful detour between venues.

If your timing lines up, Chappell Hill's Scarecrow Music Festival on October 10th and 11th is entertaining for the whole family with scarecrow displays, live music, delicious food, and over 100 vendors.

Main Street and the wine garden are free to wander, making it a nice way to kick off your Round Top Antiques getaway a little early.
